ChunkBlazer Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information ChunkBlazer ("we", "us") collects when you use the ChunkBlazer RuneLite plugin and the website at chunkblazer.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. ChunkBlazer is a fan-made tool for Old School RuneScape and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jagex Ltd.

1. Information we collect

• Account & gameplay data: your RuneScape display name (RSN), a hashed form of your RSN, your chosen game mode, unlocked regions, completed tasks, points, and account type.
• Hi-scores data: publicly available Old School RuneScape hi-scores for your RSN, fetched from Jagex to power leaderboards and anti-cheat checks.
• Gameplay events: in-game events relevant to ChunkBlazer tasks (e.g. NPC kills, skill changes, items obtained) used to verify progress.
• Presence & technical data: your current world and region while playing, periodic heartbeats, your IP address (used for abuse prevention and rate-limiting), and basic request metadata.
• Website data: standard server logs and, if you opt in, cookies for analytics and advertising (see section 5).

2. How we use it

• Operate the plugin and website, including leaderboards and player recognition features.
• Verify gameplay progress and detect cheating to keep leaderboards fair.
• Prevent abuse, spam, and denial-of-service (e.g. rate-limiting by IP).
• Diagnose problems and improve the service.

3. How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. Some data is necessarily public by design: your RSN, account type, game mode, and ranking appear on public leaderboards and in-game recognition features. We share data with service providers who help us run ChunkBlazer, including our hosting provider and Cloudflare (content delivery, security, and DDoS protection). We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Data retention

Account and progress data is kept while your account is active. Detailed gameplay event logs are retained for a limited period (currently about 90 days) and then deleted. Backups are retained on a rolling basis.

5. Cookies, analytics & advertising

The website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and, where applicable, analytics and advertising. If we serve third-party ads, those partners may set their own cookies; their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Your choices & rights

You can stop sending data at any time by disabling the plugin. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To request access or deletion of your ChunkBlazer data, email us using the details in section 9 and include your RSN.

7. Children

ChunkBlazer is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
